What is an ACH Reject?
An ACH (Automated Clearing House) reject happens when a transaction is declined during the Federal Reserve's funding process.
Common reasons for ACH rejects:
Invalid bank account number (DDA) or routing number (ABA)
Closed bank account
Insufficient funds (for example, a funding attempt is made but the transaction is returned)
If a transaction is rejected, we will attempt to resend the item to your bank up to three (3) times.
Fractal is notified of all ACH rejects. If your transaction is rejected, we’ll reach out to you with the reason and clear next steps, including any documentation we may need to resolve the issue.
If you're not receiving your funds, the first thing to check is whether your banking information is current and correct.
If your bank details are incorrect, and you’ve provided the necessary documentation to update them, we’ll make the change in our system. Once the update is complete and the funding delay resets, your funds will be automatically sent—typically within 3–5 business days.
